रेल बजट कमेटी इस रेल बजट में करीब 60-80 सुपर फास्ट-एक्सप्रेस ट्रेनों और 8 दूरंतो ट्रनों को चलाये जाने को लेकर हरी झंडी दे सकती है। हालांकि अलग-अलग राज्यों की ओर से 200 से अधिक नई ट्रेन चलाये जाने की मांग की गई है। वहीं रेल मंत्रालय अपनी खस्ता हालत और चुनावी पैतरे को देखते हुए कुछ खास ट्रेनों पर ही हामी भरेगा।
दूरंतो की श्रेणी वाली ट्रेनों में पिछली बार की तरह इस बार भी करीब 50 फीसदी ट्रेन पश्चिम बंगाल के खाते में जाने की उम्मीद है। सूत्रों के मुताबिक, रेल मंत्री दिनेश त्रिवेदी हावड़ा-चेन्नई एसी दूरंतो, हावड़ा-गुवाहटी, हावड़ा मुंबई, चेन्नई-मुंबई, भुवनेश्वर-मुंबई, सिकंदराबाद-बेंगलुरु, अहमदाबाद-भुवनेश्वर और कलकत्ता-अहमदाबाद दूरंतो को 2012-13 रेल बजट में चालू कर सकते हैं।

वर्तमान रेल मंत्री दिनेश त्रिवेदी का तृणमूल कांग्रेस से जुड़ा होना माना जा रहा है। तृणमूल अध्यक्ष और पूर्व रेल मंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने भी पिछले बजट में पश्चिम बंगाल के लिए रेलवे की झोली पूरी तरह से खोल दी थी।
उधर, सुपर फास्ट-एक्सप्रेस गाड़ियों की कतार में भी पश्चिम बंगाल की ओर कई गाड़ियों का रुख देखने को मिल सकता है। रेल बजट 2012-13 में करीब 80 ट्रेनों की सबसे ज्यादा मांग दर्ज की गई है। वहीं मंत्रालय इनमें से करीब 60 ट्रेनों को चलाने की घोषणा कर सकता है।
इनमें मैसूर-चंडीगढ़ सुपर फास्ट एक्सप्रेस, तिरुपति-देहरादून सुपर फास्ट एक्सप्रेस, इंदौर-हैदराबाद सुपर फास्ट एक्सप्रेस, टाटा नगर-जयपुर, हावड़ा-मैसूर सुपर फास्ट एक्सप्रेस, पोरबंदर-चेन्नई सुपर फास्ट एक्सप्रेस, त्रिवेंद्रम-बनारस, हावड़ा-क्योंझरगढ़, गुवाहटी-भोपाल, लखनऊ-मुगलसराय, काठगोदाम-देहरादून, मुजफ्फरपुर-जोधपुर, गया-रक्सौल, भागलपुर-कन्याकुमारी, कोलकाता-काठगोदाम, मालदा टाउन-सिकंदराबाद और उदयपुरी-पुरी जैसी ट्रेन प्रमुख रूप से शामिल है।

my suggestion is the Govt. can prepare a separate railway budget for West bengal, UP & Bihar as they are only worry abt these States.
