Yes RSA with Lucknow-Raipur Garib Rath Express/12535...That GR also not a great hit. But as per latest availability it a hit train with more than 80% occupancy.

ET is not so big passenger center so extension may not yeald any good result but NGP is very big city and dedicated train from LKO can reduce other long distance trains pressure at NGP.

Yes going to nagpur and coming back to bhopal will require atleast 11 hour travel time...hence best option is itarsi

Total 20 trains(not as daily) including this weekly are available between LKO-BPL so understandably the rush is occasional.
But due to railways policy a state capital got a dedicated train to another state capital but extension may possible in future.
