We have heard of bus lobby and Hotel lobby working against railways. But in this case, it is the''MADDUR VADA SELLERS ASSOCIATION'' lobby that is at work . :) If the travel time is reduced, it means fewer no of stops/crossings which implies fewer no of vadas that would be sold. :P According to my observation, a person travelling in a passenger train buys 8-10 vadas on avg. On an express which takes 3 hrs it comes down to 6-7. On superfast trains like TIPPU its around 4 and in Shatabdi one cant even smell it. So a strong case for their... Read more...
