For folks who think doubling and electrification can speed up a train,,think again:-
Tn sk covers 650 km between ngp and bza in 10 .20 hours
Runs on trunk route,,advance interlocking fully double and full electrify..
Raj sk covers 620 km bet ju and dee in same time...
Ju
...
dee is full diesel and around 350 kms is single line..

well irfbhai, talking about that, our chutki little 19060 jam-st intercity covers hapa - adi a distance of 320 km in 5.5 hrs flat with avg speed equivalent to that of those sk trains. and mind you hapa - adi is fully diesel (VTV - WDM-3D) and complete single track with crossings of ever important trains like 19005 and 19017 which are much important trains compared to 19060. so, it all depends on the slots that the railway babus manage to squeeze in, i suppose.

Sir, lot other factors effect speed. traffic density, and no. of stops being major ones.
doubling and RRi being for better traffic (density) distribution, and electrification takes care of Fast acceleration over short distance.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
