I think all the New Train Introduced in Mamta Budget are having 2-SLR, 6-GEN , 7-SL, 2-3AC, 1-2AC,
Sleeper SL coaches are key to success and there are less SL coaches.
Why more stress on GEN .
Should extend SL coaches to 11 and reduce GEN to 3.

But according to 2009-10 railway reports in mail /express train sleeper coaches giving more losses than GEN. According to report sleeper losses are 46% and GEN losses are 36%

i agree with you but railway can earn more revenue through general class and sleeper class. i like the work done by nitish kumar by introducing samparkranti exp and jan shatabdi exp keeping middle clas people in mind whereas other railway minister have concentrated more on ac train

Sleeper, GEN , 1AC,2AC gives losses to railways....Only 3AC giving profits to railways as per 2009-10 report

Its good to have 6 GEN coaches in every newly introduced train But it should not be mandatory it should be based on demand of GEN coaches.

7SL coaches can be increased to 11Coaches..by keeping the existing composition

Actually the income geneated to IR from both 1AC and 2AC is same.But 2A carries more passengers.
Tose who can affort 1A may think of flight.

I am sorry...I dont have any data on that...Also i am taking back my comments on 1AC,2AC losses. Now i checked that data, its not showing about 1AC,2AC.

Still, comparing to fares of 1A and flight, i feel flight will be better option for people.
1A carries less passengers compared to 2A. so turning into 2A helps moe people.

Actually we cannot estimate loss or profit on the basis of passengers. We should have all expenses of that class against earnings. If we have that data we can talk about it.
