My suggestion for railbudget
FARE
increase fare up to 5 % in sleeper class
increase fare upto 2 % in 3AC
minimum fare 5 Rs.
increase MST up to 25 %
and genrel ticket up to 5 %
New station design
every station will have minimum 4 platform on all important route
plate form 1 ( is for main line) & 2 (is siding line)...

I dont think sleeper is giving losses...only general are givin losses...waiting in sleeper rockets to sky levels...and in any sleeper coach u can see 100 pasenegrs...

instead of hiking freight fare railway should hike passenger fare because passenger fare hike impact only who travel but freight fare hike to impact all indian

Its high time Railways start making use of FSIs at its all major railway stations.... I think if every station becomes like Vashi or CBD Belapur Station in Mumbai, for a start atleast in Major A and Tier 1 cities with the help of pvts, Railways can mop up revenue and even hand them station maintenance incharge....
