but that situation is impossible. u have all 6 on the same ticket,so all are in sequence. now if 4 of the passengers confirm, other 2 will definitely be rac1 and rac2 and not somewhere else in wl. (unless of course u are travelling in 1st ac)

Not Impossible..... In case of tatkal tickets u move directly from WL to CNF thus in tat case ur ticket can show 4 CNF and 2 in W/L...

now IRCTC allows to file TDR more categorically, So a separate reason is given as:-
party partially confirm/wait listed and wait listed passengers did not travel.
