yes coz railway dont want to go for a loco change @MGS coz that will be such a waste of time since this train is not that much big so a WDM 3A can pull it throughout with avg 100+ @some strech like HWH-MGS,BSB-LKO, etc

I'm agree with your point that WDM3A can haul this train easily with an average speed of 100+ But if u noted down the haulting time at MGS it is 20MIN. So in 20min of time loco can be change fro Electric to Diesel very easily hence, there is no extra wastage of time to haul by an electric engine..

Re# 362344-6
the 20 minutes might be for crew change and diesel filling up. no further staff is needed. if train is changed extra staff needed to attend changing of engine, wish to efficiently utilize staff in other places. as many bloggers have pointed out there is no point in changing to electric if a diesel can do the same job with same speed. they have to change the engine again in unelectrified sectors.

I think that Kumbh Exp will or should get WAMs between HWH & LKO after the SLN Route gets electrified n energized. Beyond LKO, it may get WDM uptil HW :-)
