Trip report of Raptisagar SF express..
First time the train reached the station first and then me.. Reached the station at 1310 hoping to get the Netravati Express and the counter waala gave me a SF Sleeper ticket to TVC. and told me you can rush to platform 4 for Rapti. I rushed to the platform 4 to get the Rapti and got into S5. Thought of having the food from the pantry car, i went to the pantry car as soon as the train left ERS. Options were Veg B and Egg B. I thought of having Egg B which cost 60 and veg B being 50 rupees. First time in my life, i am seeing eggs with pink yolk and tasted yuck. I ate the rice portion only. No TTE came to check the tickets.

First stop was at Kumbalam for the crossing with Netravati bound to LTT. Stopped there for 10 mins and then the train proceeded towards Thuravur the next stop for crossing with ERS shed WDM and a goods train comming from NTPC Chepad. The train halted for 5 mins. I guess the goods was halted at outer for our train to enter the loop line that it can proceed without any trouble.
The first regular halt enroute was Cherthala. where Rapti met Ernakulam bound passenger. Halted for 5 mins and again proceeded to Alapuzha. At Alapuzha, Rapti was greeted by Kannur Intercity as well as Chennai Express. Alapuzha Ernakulam passenger was resting in the pit line at Alapuzha.
There was no crossings till Kayamkulam Jn from Alapuzha and the train rushed fast towards Kayamkulam Jn halting at Ambalapuzha and Haripad. At haripad, the train stopped at PLTFM 2. and then from there proceeded via the new line.
Met the Jan Shatabdi Express at Kayamkulam being Hauled by WAP4 of Royapuram shed.
The journey from kayamkulam to TVC was Super Fast one. took 45 mins to reach Kollam from KYJ. and from Kollam to TVC it took 45 mins to reach.
trains which Rapti met enroute were
Chennai Mail at Shasthamkota
NCJ Kottaym pass at Kollam
Chennai Super Fast at Kazhakootam
Intercity to GUV at TVC outer
The train reached TVC at 1730 where i switched to TVC kollam passenger towards Veli and then caught bus to home.
Thanks for the patient reading :)
