They say to click on the link, not to check the box provided. when you click the link ,a new window will popup and tells you what to do. It clearly says "The Class of travel may be upgraded automatically to the next higher class.If you do not want to be considered for upgradation, Please check the option box"
There they have clearly say that to "check the option box"
there is difference between "click on the a link" and "check the box"
But i really admit you that IRCTC clearly confuse the passengers with this click and check :D
