Good news for Mysoreans!! the plan to curtail this shatabdi at SBC has been dropped-an average occupancy of 50% has been recorded for Bangalore-Mysore route which is said to be the reason for the curtailment
However the new train that was to be introduced between these cities has been dropped for now as shatabdi is going to run till mysore

Not only safer-its faster and convinient as it starts from majestic-Volvo starts from MCTC which isnt very convinient to reach from all places-also volvo in day time take complete 3 hrs as against 2 hrs taken by shatabdi despite higher fare-without food and othere things, the AC Express can charge like Tippu which is almost equal to or bit lesser than the Volvo charge

would people like to run DD instead of shatabdi as MAS-MYS?
i have heard there is demand of one more shatabdi in same sector, from the newslink posted above. So my idea is to run 2 rakes of Shatabdi thrice b/w stations, and to run MAS-MYS AC DD with timings:
MYS:0630, SBC:0830 MAS 14:00, MAS 15:00, SBC:20:30 MYS:22:30
even DD has nothing less compared to shatabdi. even it will fall cheap for short distance, compared to shatabdi.

But this is the only MAS-MYS connector in day time-also as Gopalji said taking tippu-Brindavan is also time consuming and involves tension too as Tippu sometimes reaches at 14:15 too-also to MAS sdie the track is saturated completely for another train-even the DD is going to find a slot difficult to arrange-slight delays in running shatabdi to and fro might lead to larger delays in end-its better to keep it as it is

Sir, if you see long queue at current reservation, logically, there must be more bookings through internet before day night or that day morning, as that is better way to get confirmed ticket.
I understand that there is no future planning for short distance, but atleast many plan day before. true?

You can avoid reservation charges too booking at counters-also its too short distance that people dont need to plan early too

Sir, for tomorrow morning journey, atleast 50% have information by today evening. right?! then it is better to book today by internet for tomorrow morning 11 am than to reach and stand in queue next day and still have a doubt of getting.

ANyway would you agree to terminate at SBC and run thrice b/w SBC-MAS if the AC DD has been alloted to MYS?
Why AC DD is better to MYS than Shatabdi? Answer is:
1.cheaper fare: rs.225 or instead of rs. 305 in shatabdi
2.same comfort of cushioned seats. and reclining cushioned seats.
3.food is not imposed, for two hours journey you may have it before or after getting down or may buy from "janshatabdi-kind-of-arrangenent" pantry at every coach.
4.same speed.

11AM is not ideal slot to MAS-mornign or evening people can return back after finisdhing their work which isnt possible in the 11 AM slot-also for direct connectivity for MAS-MYS strech i wouldnt recommend the shatabdi to be curtailed-and thirdly a DD can never match the comfort of a shatabdi the 1st issue being the height problem

I didnt say abt timings. Timings could be arranged as per connvinience.
height is normal in walk way. it doesnt matter when you sit.
