This is little train did an amazing run yesterday!! it arrived at VSKP main station at 6.40am, around 30-40mins early than its scheduled arrival. The slack between VZM - VSKP is too huge, around 1hr35mins!! But the Twin Diesels made up a terrific job n covered the 61km in no less than 55mins!! almost 52km was covered in no less than 35-40mins n the remaining 9km was covered in 10-15mins due to caution entrance. Amazing Job WDM's!! 16 posts - Sat Mar 31, 2012 - are hidden. Click to open. As per the current timetable, Raam, the fastest train between HWH and BWN, with a scheduled stoppage at BWN, is the 12303 Poorva Express, which takes just 65 mns for a distance of 95 kms, departing from HWH at 8.10 am and arriving at BWN at 9.15 am. I am excluding the Rajdhanis, Durontos and Shatabdi which do not halt at BWN. They do it in a few minutes less than an hour. So not surprising that the Kalka did it in 58 mns that day, even if it was a one-off occurrence. Maybe, I was just plain lucky that day to experience such an AWESOME RIDE at a BREATHTAKING SPEED. But what u said 58mins for the distance 95kms, its possible when it crosses 125kph!!
