suppose you have gone to a prs counter and at the window the clerk says its waiting 30...now,you ask the clerk are there any berths in tatkal,he says yes...seldom does one ask the number of berths vacant in tatkal...as soon as the clerk utters the words...yes,berths available in tatkal,you opt for it and book it...this is what i meant to say in my 2nd reply...if one knows more than 300 berths vacant and is sure,it will not be filled up,he will never opt for tatkal...
