Malwa Exp is an upgraded Superfast!!
Stoppage never account to summarize a train as SF or not, but its route, speed & sometimes favorite option!!
If we check Shipra, its quite fast in between ALD-HWH & Average summarize as to 58/60 KMPH, while its other half summarize to 53 KMPH!!
If we compare the same with Malwa Exp, its 55/58 KMPH in between NDLS-INDB,
...
while 54/57 KMPH in between JAT-NDLS!!
Shipra Exp follows unconventional route, as like its counterpart Chambal Exp (which is much slower in between ALD-GWL/MTJ but still got upgraded as Superfast)!!

even MEMU and passenger trains speed in excess of 75-80, that doesnt mean they are SF. the rule adopted by IR for "Minting money" oh sorry for classifying SF is: avg. speed in excess of 55Kmph.

Today, we have implemented a new experimental feature called "RailFan Clubs". Some notes: 1. The purpose of this feature is to encourage RailFan meets at local stations, and to enjoy a shared interest in our hobbies/passions. An "RF Club" is essentially like a "group", wherein only members of that "RF Club" can...

A new feature has been rolled out - "Blog-based ChatRooms". . Previously, we had one-on-one private Chat feature, which was not very successful. The reason was that Chat Invitations are sometimes intrusive. The recipient may not be free to undertake the Chat, even if they are Online, and also the other person ends...

It has come to our attention that several IRI members have been causing mischief on other social media sites, distressing our regular loyal members. . They have been seen to post confidential and sensitive Govt. information on IRI, and thereafter themselves have been complaining to the Ministry that, "Such RailFan sites are openly running...

Happy Diwali to all members. Station announcements, vendor calls selling chai, loco honks, trains crossing bridges, etc. can now be recorded. Just click on the purple microphone icon while posting a blog. At this time, standard 20 second sound clips are recorded. You may preview the recording, re-record and then upload the...

This is an advance notice of several changes coming to the Timeline feature within the next couple of days: . 1. Atlas Routes will be able to be changed directly by Admins. This has been a really long-pending request, but will now be available. . 2. ALL Established Members (> 100 positive opinions) will directly...

There have been several reports that IRI cannot be accessed from a few large mobile data providers like Vodafone, whereas the site works fine when accessed through others. The matter was investigated, and the findings are that the connections are just not reaching the IRI servers. This may be because of...
