This train has 58km/hr between Mahoba and Mau Ranipur, and 31 km/hr between Mau Ranipur and Jhansi. Between Jhansi and Gwalior it achieves 79 km/hr. So the section between Mahoba and Jhansi is slowing the average speed.

This train has 58km/hr between Mahoba and Mau Ranipur, and 31 km/hr between Mau Ranipur and Jhansi. Between Jhansi and Gwalior it achieves 79 km/hr. So the section between Mahoba and Jhansi is slowing the average speed. While Jhansi to Gwalior is way above the average speed. So extension did not reduce the speed.
