TRIP REPORT** - Kalyan---New Delhi
PART 1 -
This trip was meant to be a family affair, But Alas in the end my family ditched me :( and I had to undertake the journey in the erstwhile company of my friend...
My tickets got confirmed thanks to the addition of 2 extra SL coaches viz. EX1 and EX2 which were attached next to the loco, Also B3 of Slip portion was absent...
Our coach S8 was JHS coach (which I got to know later from the TTE of BPL) and reservations weren’t allotted for pax short of NDLS....In our coach around 15-20 pax were of NDLS, around 20 of UMB, 12-14...

of BEAS and some other of LDH and JUC.....A few pax were also of KNW (don’t know how they got berths allotted in our coach)…..Coach was old and was just next to B1
11057 was running late by around 25 mins, finally it arrived with traditional WCAM 3 by 1 am and left within 5 minutes.....Mine was a MB and my friend got an UB in our bay we got a nice Punjabi family who were travelling right up to Beas (actually the family had all Ladies pax and only 2 males accompanied them)...In my coach around 60-65 % of pax were ladies ;)
Train started doing gr8 speeds and within no time reached Kasara at PF#1 for the attachment of bankers......Left Kasara within 8-10 mins and in the Ghat section the train was running with screeching sounds....Soon IGP arrived where GZB WAP7 took charge :)
TTE R.K.Chaurasia soon came to check our tickets and his duty was up to BSL...
WAP7 was shining in the night and we left IGP with a bang.....It was around 2.55 and my eyes were straining and had no option but to sleep...Grrrr
At around 6.30 I woke up only to find that the train was still about 15-20 mins away from approaching JL....got freshened up, soon 11057 arrived at PF#3 of JL where some MST holders got into our compartment......11057 left with an scheduled halt of 2 mins....It was crawling and had stopped at BSL outer for around 10 mins and finally reached BSL on PF#4 where LTT-SHM, 12142, one unknown special train hauled by WAG7 and a passenger train were waiting at different platforms.....Thankfully no overtake up to now.....Continued..

Yes, its the best train for NDLS, and even better for pax upto UMB. At UMB, it undergoes loco change and a long break for pax to forcibly enjoy Kulche Chhole, but for Delhi, its early morning alarm, thats irritating...
Its specially favourite for the pax of Central suburbs, esp. who want to avoid travelling early morning to BDTS/BVI to catch Swaraj, in which reservation is big issue again..

RDB Thanks a lot for those words, I'm glad that you've liked it.....Even Confirmation from RAC is very difficult in this train just like every other trains of CR, But by God's extra grace on me 2 extra SL coaches were attached that day.....
Timings are convenient from KYN and even at Delhi you get an entire day to work out the plans.....Swaraj remains one of the best in terms of timings from WR but why to travel to different places when i have a Big Jn. at my place itself :) and trust me the route via BSL-BPL-JHS is much better than BRC-KOTA and is a Railfan's delight- overtakes, crossings, lots of big Jn's etc
