Similarly, a single WDM-2A can't haul 24 coach train at high mps, so often twins are used to give additional power, whereas a WAP-4 n WAP-7 do it effortlessly. WDM-3D's with DBR fitted sometimes require twins to haul a 24 coach train or else they do haul it single handed. WDM-3A rules the Rajdhani to mps of 120kph coz of 16-20 coaches, whereas the WDP-4 n WAP's do at higher MPS. WAP's do they know their power n WDM's know what they are. ... Read more... It hurts me as I love diesel locos too. Electric locos have been always more powerful than their diesel counterparts- they were made so. Had the diesel locos been as powerful as the electric ones, this comparison would be of some worth. I name even the WDM's n the ALCO family with names like the Ragging Hunks. :) your comparing WDG-3A with WAG-9, compare it WDG-4 it can easily hauls 70 BTPN wagons with a better speed. WAG-9's do it single handed at 110kph. still i believe there is no comparison between electric and diesel, diesel rules as same as electric and in every territory. Sometimes I do define Diesels as the slowest n sometimes as HUNK. So better let the belief b in rail fanning. Don't try to justify what's great n where. An Canadian Pacific Steam can outwit both WAP-4's n WDM's family. So i didn't count them here. In conclusion, M a DELCO fan. Any probs?? |
