Soumitra ,thats why I marked WDP- '''4''' ... And not WDP-""4B" . As WDP-4B are made for more power i.e. for hauling heavy rakes and also WDP-4B are derived from WDG-4 which is a goods loco. WDP-4B has all axles powered whereas in WDP-4 the inner two axles are not powered .

WDP-4B will perform better with a heavy rake because of 500 HP extra power and also as all the 6 axles are powering the loco. But max speed wise WDP-4 is on top.
