Click to open. travelled twice in emergency pathetic train, now i prefer only marusagar, ddn-kcvl, asr-kcvl and ksk which are much maintained and have good speed see post 436032-11. mr. aravind is vouching that it runs jam packed and it is truly a SF if you look at the travel time. do you have proof that this is a loss making train for IR. i am not being selfish but it is just that we need to have more connectivity along India's coastal belt. KSK, Marusagar, TVC Raj are much better in this sector. But 12997/98 is also a good option, according to me. I have heard many rave comments about the pantry in ASR KCVL, is it true?? I had travelled in Jan 2011 and April 2011. Both times, there was rush. traveled from where to where ?? and why pathetic ?? any specific reason. you would have traveled for a shorter distance. think about us long distance travelers from west gujarat to south india and you would say that this is the most preferable train. jam packed may be in summer season or any festival time other wise u can easily gets tickets and in general coaches seems runs empty throughout the journey have seen it many times instead of that IR should run this train only once in a week and in seasonal time they run a special train towards south instead of starting a new train every year, creating more and more loss. yes its true the pantry of ASR-KCVL is too bad compare to all south bound trains via konkan but when it comes to speed no one will have any kind of complaints about that. sir there are many train in a week from gujarat to south india u can see the list even last year also IR has gifted 2 news trains to gujarat for south, let see how much patronage it get. ok. now just tell me what should be the criteria for a successful train ? do you mean to say that all trains that the IR runs should always be full all the year round ? is it possible ? than maybe just a couple of trains might run and that too between metro cities. do not be a fool and keep harping about losses. think of the facility for travelling public. if you check their is no daily connectivity from Hapa / Rajkot / Ahmedabad to South India. we can get trains daily from BRC and BSR but those are all coming from North and therefore, very difficult to get seats. see the seat availability from Hapa in the month of june even after 9 days RAC seats are available as the season comes to an end. |
