Spotted ICF Duronto coaches outside Secunderabad. They clearly belonged to SCR as mentioned on it. Saw about 5 coaches from 12728 soon after departure from SC on May 27.
So this makes it clear that VSKP-SC Duronto will be ICF. The AC II tier coaches had tiny windows. So these are probably Overhauled Rajdhani coaches.

The demand is high.. but id say this Duronto wouldn't be as successful as IR expects it to be. The main problem is the coaches are too old, they cannot operate on time. And the departure time at VSKP is a bit too late in the night. The railway station area isn't really a safe place in the city, especially at that time of the night. The SC-VSKP Duronto would be a great click. Unless the ICF is well overhauled and as good as a new rake itself, the VSKP-SC train would run nearly half empty. Also because Vacation time is over and the rush would fade away.

Anirudh, i agree with old coaches part, but remaining not.
It will surely has huge demand from VSKP also. Many people board konrak and other late night trains. There no security issue and all.
Regards speed, why not. The same rake done 130kmph between NZM-BPL. These CBC rakes can easily complete the distance. This is just 72kmph avg speed. The main problem with BZA. Most of the trains will have more than schedule halt there. As of now no duranto passing through BZA has loco reversal. Lets see until RRI at BZA how they will send this train without more late.

These coaches may run at speeds of 130 kmph.. The vibration, however.. would be intense. There would be no comfort. Take an example of the coaches of VSKP Swarnjayanti express. I've traveled in the AC II tier from VSKP-AGC. The coaches are really old and they would start vibrating as soon as the train reached speeds of around 100 kmph. A duronto with an average speed of 72-74 and a 15-20 minute halt at BZA will have to run at over 100 kmph for most of the time. This would mean vibration all throughout the journey. And because its a CBC rake, the jerks are too common.

I too traveled by that AC2. I agree on that, but if we wont get then we cannot do any thing. But sure people prefer this duranto than Volvo bused which takes bumpy roads of Khammam. Also lets hope that by next year end it gets LHB.

Anirudh...As per railways plans all train will get LHB in another 5 years. First they will convert all RAJ's, Shatabdi, then Duranto, AC express...So it will get LHB in a year or two. So lets wait for the day.
