According to law it did not work. But if you give proper reason to TTE and if TTE accepts your reason then it will work.

An ID proof (you mentioned passport on ticket) in original is a must. So passport in original is must.
e-ticket in any form is valid. else, he collects fine of rs.50 by looking at your passport.

Can if approached to a Station Master,Reservation supervisor with an alternate Proof like Voter ID,PAN card of same PERSON along with Scan Copy of passport (Oroginal ID Mentioned in Ticket)do he has the authority to Change ID Proff mentiond in Tatkal Tickets?
