yes the LP told that they saw that the line was not in actual shape they applied the brakes but 8-9 coaches passed from that point and rest back coaches got derailed
the plew off 20 feet away from the line

GM PKV Sir. This is not new. I have also come across the same experience. My parents were travelling and I called them they said they were standing at MGS but the said website show the train passed ALD. The journey of 3 hr between MGS and ALD.
I was confused and then contacted the NR enquiry and notified the issue. Seems nothing has changed yet.
Every accident is horrific and this is one among them to lot many coming in future (I am not wishing though) the stats speak. The only way is to beat the accident is by having a good safety plan and system one step ahead. Indian functionaries and admin works on reactive mode than preventive mode.
