MSB is saturated with MRTS & EMU's.. moreover RPM once made terminal..the EMU services on this route will also be increased.....

It will be good but there is one more constraint in it. Only two tracks which are heavily used by freights to go to Port. Also there is severe space constraint to triple or quadruple tracks. On one side is the port and other side are huge buildings.

hmm ok..by considering all these atleast SR will increase the no.of emu's through rpm..at rpm only towards avadi n thiruvallur emu's are der it will be helpful towards west chennai n wt about towards tbm side???

There is not enough space between Madras Beach and Royapuram stations. Only Double line is there in between these stations. According to present situation it is good to have starting point as Msb for Emu's and there is a backdrop if those Emu's din't start from Royapuram for express trains passengers. The only solution is Railways have to ask space for another Double line from Chennai Harbour Authorities.

I too feel once RPM becomes third terminal few EMUs can be operated from RPM to TBM, CGL and towars GPD, TRL, TRT, etc.
