Only two tracks which are heavily used by freights to go to Port. Also there is severe space constraint to triple or quadruple tracks. On one side is the port and other side are huge buildings. Only Double line is there in between these stations. According to present situation it is good to have starting point as Msb for Emu's and there is a backdrop if those Emu's din't start from Royapuram for express trains passengers. The only solution is Railways have to ask space for another Double line from Chennai Harbour Authorities.
