If Current revn can be done at charting stn too then I have a question. Just take it someone with a general ticket or some one wants manual upgradation and approaches TTE for seat. In case of any vacancy the TTE may allot seats to them. That manual allotment will not be updated in the computer. Then at the next charting station in case through current booking those unreflected seats are allotted to some passenger and he boards the train and finds the seat to be allotted to some RAC passenger by TTE. Then what will happen, who will be given seats?

In case of some manual upgradation or some manual allotment by TTE wt ll happen. For this purpose let me take a person approaches the TTE at BBS for a journey upto GDR or MAS with an open ticket. As there is vacancy the TTE allots him the seat which will not be reflected in VSKP system. Through current booking another person is allotted the same seat upto MAS/GDR. Thenwt ll happen?

You might have heard TTE's saying that we'll see after THAT PARTICULAR station usually. That particular station will give another chart.

I have asked for current resvn at Chennia Egmore for TNSK bound to MDU. The clerk said that he can issue tickets only for starting trains from Chennai Egmore. For TNSK he asked me to go to TTE and speak. I saw at the station charts were also pasted at Chennai Egmore. Then as a charting station why couldnt the person allot me berth ?

But anyhow I travelled by Ananthapuri as it had seats in 2A.

Once I have booked for CAPE HWH from MS to VSKP in Current Resv and I got it.

Oh is it? But my case was more than five years back. May be rules must have changed now.
