1 hour have already passed since the train departed from its originating station, and distance covered is only 35 kms!! Still the train is bang on time to give its scheduled halt at the very next station enroute, i.e. Kamarkundu on HB Chord. Thanx to the 5 hours of slack time that this "extremely fast" train has got.
Massive off-link shabby looking 27056 WAG-7 of MGS shed cruises and relaxes with 13151 Kolkata Chitpur Terminal (KOAA)- Jammu Tawi (JAT) Express through Balarambati. The regular link for this train is a MGS WAP-4.. The loco arrives with the Down train, and returns...

next day with the Up train. And in the last evening, it too came with a MGS WAP-4.. But most probably, 11105 KOAA- Jhansi Weekly PRATHAM SWATANTRATA SANGRAM Express stole the link in the early hours.. And HWH would not waste a WAP-4 behind this sleeping pill. So this Up rake had no other option other to take a loco from the adjoining Cossipore freight yard.
Note the rake had an extra packed AC 3-Tier coach. Being a crawler, still it gets huge patronage. Some lads shout at me while seeing me with my camcorder. Wanted to tell them- After the train arrives at MGS, tell the IR officials to clean up the loco. Seems it didnt have a bath for decades!!
The train uses the Jammu Tawi- Chakki Bank- Jalandhar Cantt.- Ludhiana- Ambala Cantt.- Saharanpur- Laksar- Najibabad- Moradabad- Bareilly- Shahjehanpur- Lucknow Charbagh- Faizabad- Varanasi- Mughal Sarai- Gaya- Gomoh- Dhanbad- Asansol- Burdwan- KOAA route..

Total waste of WAP7...HWH & SRC together have enough No. of WAP4's also,which is sufficient to haul any kind of trains..HWH WAP7's are always idling...no dedicated customer to these WAP7's

Loco allotment for HWH Duronto, HWH Rajdhani, SDAH Rajdhani and SDAH Duronto are under the hands of ER.. So in the future, you can see these trains with WAP-7.. Plus now-a-days, Coalfield and Kalka Mail gets HWH WAP-7 in more occasions than not.. Poorva gets GMO WAP-7 quite often now-a-days.. So in the future, it will also be hauled by HWH WAP-7, after all the WAP-7 from GMO are transferred to HWH..

I've seen Black Diamond/Coald Field with GMO WAP7's also...& Double Decker is a yellow elephant..it doesnt deserve a WAP7...Kalka Mail is somehow justified

That was long way back. These days they usually get HWH WAP 7. Else HWH WAP 4 or sometimes GZB WAP 4.
