Trip Report………. 12363 ICE to JALPAIGURI… 10th may
On My summer vacation I planned to go to my home town JALPAIGURI and Spend a week there.
As planned I booked a Ticket in 12363 Haldibari ICE from Kolkata.
On 10th May morning. Dad said that he cannot come with me to the station so I Boarded a the fast S11 Bus from
Sodepur More and got down at the end of TALA bridge walked about a Kilometere and reached the station bang on 7:58. As I Entered the Concourse It was announced that My Train will Depart from Platform 3. mean while as I started walking toward Pf 3 through PF1 a Dark Blue Liveried WDS6 From BGA welcomed me as the LP of the shunter loco said me “SABDHANE JEYO”,”Keu Kichi dile khabena” .( Well he was familiar to me ..later remembered that he lives in our neighbourhood) (translatioan “Be Careful during your Journey” and “Don’t eat anything from a stranger”) .
Any way the Empty Rake of Darbhanga Express which arrived earlier in the morning and the Empty Rake of Darbhanga Express was parked in PF2 and PF 5 Respectively.
Meanwhile. The Empty Rake of my train was pulled into platform by the parent loco BWN WDM2 16697.
As I boarded a train a Couple of RPFs came and Opened the vestibules.
The Rake composition was LOCO-SLR-D1-D2-D3-C1-D4-D5-D6-D7-D8-SLR ( I WAS IN D5)
Saw a Brown liveried WDS6 Shunting BCNA rakes in adjacent Yard.
The Train departed Bang on Time at 9:05hrs
Missed many things as my seat was on the opposite side of action i.e. left side
Surprised to see that the coach was mostly empty. There are only 15 passengers in the compartment if I count myself even in the summer rush. And upon asking the TTE he said with a smile that most of them are Going to NJP and no more reservations have been made in D5.
Near Patipukur spotted Down Lalquila Express with WAG7 27177 (shed not noted)
Hats off to Our deemer what an acceleration she showed between patipukur and DDJ yard…… the heaven of PSRs and TSRs.
Spotted a WAG 7 27193 with BOXN, a WAG 7 21193 with BOBYN, a WAG 7 27775 with BOXN and a WAG 7 28132 with BCNA rakes respectively in Dumdum Yard. And ofcourse, Crowded EMUs. and one of the AC rakes of the Metro Rail and the OFFICE TIME RUSH was worth Spotting at Dumdum Junction. Train halted at DDJ for 4 seconds… on the Middle Yard Line( Most Probably)
There was a Race with a ZEN Estilo at Belghoria Expressway….Which WE WON !!!!
The Train Speedly Crossed Baranagar, Dakkhineswar and Bally bridge. Slowed a bit at RajChandrapur.
At SER-ER Line junction on SDAH-DKAE Line saw A Barbie+P4 Shelled WAG7 +WAG9 hauled Fully Loaded BOXN rake.( believe or not). As I seem the G9 was “off”.
At Dankuni Yard. the Dn Sealdah Rajdhani with one Duronto Coach hauled by a LGD WAP7 Crossed us Accelerating furiously. And a TKD LOCO(23226) with BOBYN rake
When passing Dankuni I saw the time was 9:38 hrs (AMAZING). Meanwhile, Dn Howrah Raj Crossed us with a WAP7. the road number was either 30285 or 38295.
Then the deemer started to show its power on the HB CHORD. Stationlike s Gobra, Begampur,Chandanpur, Baruipara,Kamarkundu were vanished ins seconds.as the train was constantly running at MPS. Slowed a Bit near Sibaichandi and Pora bazaar. As I seem at 100kph!
And I was forgot to mention an intercity type train bound for Howrah crossed us with a Howrah WAP 4 at Chandanpur. At Saktigarh where the MAIN and CHORD Line meets(or separates). W over took a slow intercity train( has RSA) with a Howrah WDM2.
At Bardhaman Yard spotted a SLIGURI WDG4 with fully loaded BOXN rake, an Inspection car And one the Rare WDM 6s shunting a BCNA rake.
Arrived Bardhaman 4 Minutes Early.
Spotted a WDG4 Siliguri 12404with a BCNA rake at Jhapater Dhal on Sahibganj loop
At some NO OTHER DHAL Dhal we over took HWH-Jaynagar Passenger with HWH WDM 17886.
We Reached Bolpur 8 Minutes Before time as we Constantly hit MPS of this section .
Some Passenger with Rebuilt Malda Deemer was standing on PF3
We Left Bolpur bang on time. As we started moving Balurghat-Kolkata Express with a WDM3A (GMstyle DBR) of BWN arrived on PF2.
A WDG4 Siliguri 12175 with empty BOBYN Rake was spotted At Sainthia. As our train was running at MPS. Many stations like Ahamedpur vanished in seconds.
Arrived Rampurhat 9 minutes Early. Saw Lots of maroon-green liveried trains and
BWN WDM3A 18634 with MAA TARA EXPRESS was Stationary on PF3.
Train departed about 30 seconds late.
At Some Station Called CHATRA.Train Halted for 5 minutes…. TE mobile app said the train was running 10 minutes before time.!!!!!!!
Spotted Siliguri Piglet WDG4 12351 with BCNA 3 Andal WDG3A scoupled together with a fully Loaded BOBYN rakes here.
Train started moving after some time and started accelerating madly. .
We Blasted trough Murarai at MPS. Spotted a Siliguri WDG4 12403 with BTPN rake
And a UDL WDG3A with a BOXN rake there.
Reached Pakur 15 Mins Before time But departed from there 10 late…
Spotted Lots of Freight action at Pakur Yard including a WDG3A of WDL and a Jumbo of Unkown shed coupled together.
My Train Left the Sahibgunj loop line and took the 180 degree turn to NFR Bound Track
Then again the WDM2 started proving that why this locos considered among the best. Constantly hitting MPS as Stations like Tildanga, Faraaka Thermal Power plant were vanished in seconds. We slowed down to 40 kph due to the PSR at Farakka Barrage. .We crossed Frakka bridge . My eyes stand still on the natural beauty of the river. After Crossing then again WDM2 started proving.
At JamirGhata Siliguri WDG4 Non-piglet 12160 with BOXN and at Khaltipur aFlatbed rake Fully loaded with sleepers without any locos were spotted. (PS: we blasted through this stations at 100+)
we reached MALDA TOWN 15 mins Before time.
Spottings at malda town Include:
• BWN WDM3A 18887 with BWN-Malda-Sahibgunj Pass at PF5
• Some unknown Long-Distance Express at PF1 (didn’t spot the loco as a BTPN rake was standing on PF3)
• BWN Hanumanji 1878X with HPCV train at PF2
• HWH 3Ds 11317 and 11246 attached together at PF5
Train Departed Bang on Time. At Malda Yard (NFR Side) saw a LKO Baldie WDM3A 14002 coupled with a NGC WDG3A 13046 and a MLDT Rebuilt Hanumanji 16547R.
We started Blasting though Virgin green fields and overtook a Passenger train with a MLDT WDM2A at Samsi
I started watching “Royal Bengal rahasya” on my lappy. At Kumedpore I decied to end the movie an again do some Railfanning. So, saw the Elctrification progress of BARAUNI-GHY line . the poles wer in place upto Mukuria.
At Mukuria we overtook a BCNA Rake with NGC WDG3A
Spotted a NGC WDG 3A and MLDT WDM2B attached together at Azamnagar Road.
We Crossed Barsoi at medium Speed and crossed the GIANT Curve at MPS. We mainatained Good speed till Dalkola the again We Started Hitting MPS! And slowed down at hatwar to overtake a Double Headed BCNA Rake. We Crossed Kishanganj,Aluabari at MPS and slowed down at magurjan fro TSR. Then again started hitting MPS Till Rangapani Crossed Rangapani at Medium speed!!!! And reached PF 1A of NJP at 18:35 that is 15 minutes early!!!!!!! The train Raan Truly Non Stop Between MLDT-NJP!!!!!!!
Train departed Bang on time at 19:05 hrs, The GHY Bound Kanchanjungha Express was still standing at on PF2!!!!!!! It even arrived before us and the dep. Time was 18:50 something!!!
Anyway, saw Dn. Saraighat express with SGUJ WDP4 20011 at NJP yard.
WE HIT MPS totaly Between NJP and RQJ. Slowed down at RQJ to change tracks.
The again strated moving MADLY.
WE ARRIVED AT JALPAIGURI AT 19:36 which is 7 Minutes before time!!!!!!!!!!!!
