Blog Entry# 454859 Posted: Jun 15 2012 (10:27AM) 12 Responses Last Response: Jun 15 2012 (3:02PM) How comfortable is a side upper berth in an ICF 2A coach? 2 posts - Fri Jun 15, 2012 - are hidden. Click to open. not any special efffect except good cooling slightly less broader than the bay berths, its not cramped either. you have privacy curtains and light to read. better than 3a SU. I have travelled in SU and except for the breadth, no other difference noted. Then it is quite comfortable? i dont think side berths of 2a are wider than 3a...but 2a SUB is very comfy...curtains...reading light...window seat during day...the only prob...side berths dont hv mobile charging points... Very much comfortable. if you are travelling for the first time in ICF coaches, then you can know the difference from LHB. But, IR has run/running ICF coaches since not less than 60 yrs. They are indeed comfortable. Thanks a lot for your reply. In fact this is the first time I'm going to travel lying in or sitting on a side upper berth and hence follows the question. Thanks once again. In one line, SU berths are far comfortable than any berths. Nobody bothers the passengers.( leaving the GR SUB). Thanks a lot for your informative and comforting reply. As a result I will be able to climb into the side upper berth assured of the fact that I will be having a good time lying or reclining in that side upper berth. yes, unlike main berths, you will not face any cramping for head space even if you sit upright in side berths...my most preferred berth in 2a and even 3a... Agreed..as I have personal experience of travelling in SUB in 2ac.its very safe and has enough headroom.could sit and read too.. |
