actually patipukur falls just a platform short of shalimar...
shalimar has two platforms and patipukur has only one platform...once the increment is done,an idli shop will be under consideration:)

fortunately the idlis were as hygienic as its taste...so continued with good health right upto mulangunnatthukkavuu (trissur)...

SRC is not a terminal like Howrah or Shalimar. It is an intermediate station in the HWH- KGP route.

actually the size of idlis were a little bigger than what is shown in docomo advertisements...so 11 idlis of shalimar=3 to 4 idlis of any multi cuisine restaurant...still i suggest passengers intending to board a train from shalimar to better pack their food from home or elsewhere...not much available at shalimar or near to the station...its deserted....

Then even then it is eligible as terminal as it has 1 PF. Not much difference between one and two, just one.

much better than SHM. right beside the station there is the KONA expressway from where buses are available regularly to kolkata city. there is a cab stand also. there are six platforms with not only idli but also lots of other delicacies.
