I am planning to take this train this friday from ERS to SBC in 2S and I have couple of queries.
1. The seating arrangement - is it 3+3 3 people on one side and 3 on other? (Do they actually expect 3 people to sit comfortable on one side?) If anyone can point me out to the seating composition/arrangement diagram of 2S it will be really helpful
2. Is it allowed to book more than one seat in the my name itself for the same journey?(Since I am travelling with a baby and lot of luggage wanted to book 1 or 2 extra seats)
Will be grateful if the experts can throw some light on this.

yes madam,i would like to throw some light...sitting arrangement in 2s is indeed 3+3...3 on both sides and passengers sit quite comfortable as there is no handrest,so space is saved...
You cant book extra seats...if found unattended, the berths will be given to waiting pax or unreserved pax...however you can book a seat for the child if he/she is above 5 yrs of age.

well, I read in some other forum about a guy booking an entire coupe in 1AC (4 tickets) under one name so that he can travel with his pet. I have also "heard" about musicians booking extra ticket so that they can keep their musical instruments like veena on that additional berth when they are travelling. So i was wondering what is the official stand on this matter...

When u have a pet u can book a complete coupe or cabin for yourself. That is allowed according to rules and applicable only to 1a and FC. For other classes it is not applicable.

are you sure? You can book an entire coupe by the name of a pet? Never heard such rules before...what i know is that you can book a berth. If co passenger objects you have to transfer the pet to guard in dog box...also preference for coupe will be given to pax with pets. But i dont think you can book a coupe even if u r travelling alone in any class...be it fc or 1a...can you please provide the extract allowing booking of a coupe by single passenger with pets?

Yes sir I m confident. There is an old blog in TN exp in our site itself. The passenger had to carry a parrot and got a coupe for himself in 1a. Also these rules are available in the TAAG.

Pet and parrot gives 1 full berth to keep it aside.
Strange? IR bothers pets rather than human beings.
Is the concern listening?
