Hello members: I am in the process of booking an e-ticket. Surprisingly the IRCTC website really was quick when I started booking but as the txn proceeded, especially on 3D Secure page, it got stuck and has been processing the request for more than 15 minutes now and there is no sign of txn getting completed. I do not know what to do: Quit IRCTC and retry or wait endlessly? Quick replies solicited. NOTE: 3D Secure password also was typed.

If it was Credit Card in my case money was never debited unless the page was diverted to IRCTC page. Problem happens only when you are in banking page and your browser says waiting for irctc.co.in in the bottom.

Thanx maan for sharing your experiences. Fortunately, as you correctly surmised, money was not debited from my credit card a/c and the failed txn says no booking done, so no issues. This is after I persisted with the IRCTC servers again and again.

Thanx all for your inputs. The Failed Txn listed "Not Booked," so I assume no money would have been debited. It was a hefty txn. It seemed the IRCTC servers were down for a long time. Now, I have learnt a few tricks like pressing the back button DP Sir, Mr. Patil, Wrik-ji, and Kiran-ji.
