Look at the slack provided from TUP... TUP-CBE is like 1 hr 40 mins.. A local bus takes lesser time.. and here is the beauty CBE-PTJ a whooping 55 mins by a brisk walk we can cover this 6kms much more easily.. Boy why should we really have a train named express with 1A in it which runs slower than a passenger.. For eg.. this is the slowest train between TUP & PGT.. takes almost 4 hrs whereas TPJ-PGT pass taken only 3 hours. Gosh..... 21 posts - Tue Jun 19, 2012 - are hidden. Click to open. Well thats my point as well.. this slack i mentioned is making it run slower than a pass which i feel should be changed by IR. Believe me its not a heavy traffic time as well.. hardly any trains at that hour and now the Irugur - Podanur doubling is operational.. i really expect to see a change in TT.. Normally it will reach PTJ by 10.55 and depart by 11.40 only :) Stays @ PTJ for 45 mins? What purpose other than TT? It is the slowest train from cbe to maq Once i asked this at the information center, a fair smile was the reply Yep Nazeer ji i was on this train once from TUP to PGT after visiting my brother there.. dint even seeing the timing of this train i decided to take a journey on this one.. left TUP like 20 mins late.. I never though palakkad will come after 4 hours.. it arrived PTJ like around 11.05 AM and as u said left at 11.40. Stopped again at walayar at 12.05 till 12.20 and reached PGT by 12.40.. 15 mins ahead LOL So there is no question of late running in this route :) Oh Nazeer ji..dont be so harsh like me.. CBE-MAQ pass does take a longer time than this one ... :-D Still our hero who left on 17th night from MS reached MAQ 55 mins late :-) But it takes 12hours 20 mins with 49 halts and this express takes 11 hours 15 mins with just 27 halts That comparison might not go well Nazeer Ji.. anyways our hero deserves to be called a Super Crawler.... |
