You are all well informed about Railways and some friends more than the dept.staff. So I being a novaice need not remind you every decision which Section track to be strengthened, to which level, which train to go at what speedetc.(I can cite 1000 examples but I am cutting it) are decided by the bosses in Delhi and buruaeycrats sitting in Zonal Hqrs. Let it be 'King' or 'Emperor'. Can a Loco. Engineer(Driver) can decide to goat 140. Kms. if there was caution instructions. Any train if provided with appropriate Loco,Rake,and time and clearance will achieve the desired results. So which train is fast? is a unnecessary debate. If somebody fight which bus is better, whixh bus is fast, which driver is good though rash, there would be some meaning. ... Read more...
