I guess just before introduction of BPL shatabdi(probably in 2005 ) I read an article that BPL shatabdi is fastest train in India and for that entire NDLS-BPL stretch is made fit to run 150KMPH NDLS - TKD = 130 KMPH TKD - AGC = 150 KMPH AGC - LAR = 130 KMPH LAR - BPL = 120 KMPH This is the MPS for BPL Shatabdi. The whole stretch between NDLS - BPL might have been designed for 160 KMPH but a train cannot do more than what has been put up above or in short cannot do more than the MPS. Just for info i have learned that CNB-NDLS is designed for 160 KMPH operations but... Read more... even KR railways has been designed for 160kmph. but today Sealdah New Delhi Duronto is the fastest train in India. Sealdah New Delhi Duronto average speed 89/kmph. Bhopal Shatabdi 87/kmph. |
