I notice that CITIBANK refunds transaction charges where as I have not seen with any other bank.
Here is an example:
Train # 12704, SC-BHC, Class - SL
Fare Rs 395, Plus Irctc charges Rs 10

I have canceled a bunch of tickets against my HDFC cc and never saw any refund of transaction fees.
I am planning to take this up with HDFC card division.
While I do that can others tell me how it is with other banks ?

In SBI refund of transaction charge is done for failure of booking. Not sure about Cancelled ticket.

I am doing it through netbanking.
I think, there may be a difference on gateway like Credit Card, Debit Card or NetBanking. Also, there is a possibility that this difference exists on account of type of Account.
