Two stations with same name?

yes. I had experienced it myself. I had booked two tickets for bju-ghy travel. Dwarka Express and Ltt-ghy express. I had continous journey trip. In Morn Jayanagar GR left me at old Barauni Jn. and I was sitting right there thinking there only my next train might come. I checked my mobile Dwarka. it said dwarka had departed barauni but i didnt see that train at all. so i asked the canteen guy out there he said. these two trains depart from new barauni junction and it is at walking distance of 10 mins. stations are different but the code is same and even name is same. Very poor management.

actually never heard of New Barauni Junction. but its very odd of a station which is 10 mins walk and having a same code. may be admins or senior members can throw some light on it.

here two Barauni Junctions can be seen. so What is Barauni By pass sir? some trains (e.g. 12567/68 PNBE - SHC Rajyarani express) follow this route.

ur pic isnt proving anything. anyways thts nt the topic. u dont stay here, so might be proving tht fact to b right what m saying is wrong. the thing is separate stations same name same code. thats wrong

as far as i know,there is only one barauni junction. Some trains like patna saharsa bypass barauni and take a diversion just 500metre before barauni junction...from the point of diversion,barauni junction platform is visible. There is a small station there(name i dont know) to facilitate passengers to go to bju jn and almost all trains that take this bypass,stop at the small station on the bypass. The name of that small station is not barauni jn...its something else,i cant recall...
