1 hour late running 12245 New Delhi- Udhampur Uttar Sampark Kranti Express, headed by 40049 WDP- 4B (LHF) of Tughlakabad shed thunders through the way while approaching its destination, i.e. Jammu Tawi, before heading on for Udhampur. In the start of the video, it somewhat maintains an average speed while going through PSR zone, but after reaching the T/P point, it just gets ready for blasting with the 24 coach rake (CBC rake)...

after giving the famous jerk. And in the process, it skips the station named Ghagwal, 41 kms away from Jammu at around 06:45 in the morning. With a rake of 24 coaches (12 sleeper, 6 AC coaches) and running daily, I guess this is the most pampered Sampark Kranti of India.

It was a spectacular performance by the WDP- 4B, which really left me spell bound.. One thing to be noted is that all the Udhampur bound trains headed by WDM- 3A uses a banker between Jammu and Udhampur. But this Sampark Kranti does not need any banker, as the WDP- 4B is more than enough for this 24 coach load..

Yes. Similarly, whenever a south-bound train from Delhi gets a WAP7 loco, it does not need bankers between ET and NGP. Same reason.
