its called slack time...to reduce (some extent of) late running time this is done..suppose train is running 1 hr late..here after crossing s'mati this train can reduce its late by 50min or 45min surely..so when it reaches adi the late runnning will come down to only 15min!

I am a frequent traveller of Aravalli.
It never gets let when travelling from Jaipur to BDTS
So this slack timing is useless and wastage of time.
If IR can manage it well it can leave before Gujarat mail from ADI
