Does anyone have any idea why does the Long Distant Trains entering Mumbai(LTT/CSTM) gets delayed by several hours even after leaving Kalyan on time...?? Does CSTM/LTT faces the same platform non-Availability issue like HWH/SDAH? But Locals can make the trains delayed by only a few mins....here most of the train leaving KYN takes more than 2.5 Hrs to reach LTT(only 38 kms)...Even a Mumbai Local wouldnt take more than 60-70 mts to cover 38 km,so even if the Exp follows the local,it should each within 75-80 mts..there must be platform length/availability issue...hw many platforms are there in LTT( & how many of them are capable of handling at least 22 coaches)?? LTT was called as Kurla terminus earlier and renamed as LTT(Lokhmanya Tilak Terminus) also there is seperate kurla station near by used by only locals..No long distance trains stop there... May be also because of some other outstation trains getting delayed could cause the delay some trains may get unofficial stop at Thane or some intermediate station..But the thing interesting is for LTT is there exists a seperate 2 lines from thane dedicated for it...
