15th july,THANE:Was going to Dadar.I bought the tickets from the ATVM machine and proceeded to pf 4(via FOB).reached platform 4 and was amazed after seeing the whole action going on at pf 2 and 3.it was the maintenance work which was being carried out here.megablock was going on and trains were running late so bcoz of this i could witness the work for a long time.there were 2 OHE vans,a crane from kurla shed named "Virat",a tools van and 2 WDM-2 of kurla shed.the electric line were being fixed properly as there is a new FOB coming up at thane.many people were eagerly watching the maintenance work as it was more interesting than simply waiting for the local train.finally an announcement was nade and in a few...

IR is erecting a new FOB for connecting all the platforms . Last sunday they connected few platforms with those FOBS. Thane station urgently needs renovation and up gradation as Station is totally ill equipped to handle burgeoning population of this city.

ya a new FOB is coming at TNA.base structures have been built at all PF and the FOB is connected too.now only final touch up is left.the existing FOB's are old and are very very crowded during peak hours.
