A friend of mine asked me few days back about what is ecstasy.i explained him to the best of my knowledge but could not convince him,as i myself didnt know what ecstasy is. But had he asked me the question today,i would not only demonstrate but also have him experience what was ecstasy. Yes, today was the day when i, along with pkv sir, wrik and souvik had spent the day at Chittaranjan Locomotive Workshop, along with some city fanning at kalyaneshwari temple and maithon dam cum hydroelectricity project. Sabyasachi da, who was a part of the original group could not make it and was sorely missed.

opportunity so rare, yet to be cherished.
A red letter day indeed, not only for railfans, but for any individual,as such rare chances, comes once in a lifetime. And to visit the oldest locomotive workshop of republic of india is something unmatched.Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru had once said on his maiden visit to clw...maithan dam and clw are the new temples of modern india, and very rightly so. To the best of my knowledge, this was certainly the first time a group of rail fans from iri,and possibly any rail related website had visited CLW,one of the nurseries which nurtures the power horses that help to keep the wheels of the nation moving.
It all began with a ping of pvt post by pkv sir,a few months back asking me for available dates,as he was planning to organise a trip to clw...and viola, today is the day. A dream realised. A chance grabbed. Some feelings cannot be described. It can only be experienced. And this was one of them. Glad to be a part of this "project",as what i would call it.

All members are requested once again, NOT to act as PROXY copyright advocates of other people's pictures, or else deliver GRATUITOUS LECTURES on what is or is not sensitive. Individual members of this site act as per their own judgment and discretion. The same well-known rules apply to Google, Facebook, Flickr and other large social sites.
The procedure followed in all these cases is fairly standard. If a copyright holder feels that their pictures are being uploaded without permission, credit is not given or feels other grievance, they send a "Takedown Request" to the concerned website, and their request is complied with.
If any govt. or other body feels that some sensitive picture is posted, any comment is derogatory to the nation, or has any other complaint, they send a letter/feedback in

an official capacity to the concerned website, and their requests are complied with.
Facebook, Google and other large websites receive thousands of such takedown notices and letters in any given year, and they quicky comply. Exactly the same is true of this website as well.
If CLW or any other organization feels that sensitive pictures are uploaded, they may send a "Takedown Request" to this website in an official capacity, and the request will be promptly complied with. If the request is not valid, their request is NOT complied with, and thereafter the judicial process takes over. Final judgement rests with the judge in the requisite court of law in the country where the case is heard.
Meanwhile, to reiterate, lay members and guests are requested and warned NOT to deliver GRATUITOUS LECTURES on copyright or sensitive material. Please hold your PEACE if you are not directly involved with the material concerned. There is a due process for everything, and allow it to take its course.
