WAP-7's braking is quite bit different with P-4's. That's y its allotted to train which have good amount of stops. not for the ones, who have every station as a stop. Poorva, AP Express, Godavari, and some trains which gets WAP-7 as regular link. P-4's braking n acceleration doesn't effect much as the WAP-7's does. So what about WAP 4 and WAP 5 they can also do this na and in diesel WDP4B and 4D are capable to do this there is proper distance between two stations let the train catch pace fo sometime but this will not... It can't haul a 24-25 coach train. the power of a WAP-7 is different to WAP-4. WDP-4B can't do the same thing what a WAP-7 does. WDP-4D is a failure!! the first design has proved it as a failure n even now the re-modified design didn't help it. So dear, a train like Janta Express getting a WAP-7 is considered as an Offlink. IF its not accepted, then no issues.
