i think it depends on aggresive the schedule is, how often the train stops(as wap7 has better pickup), if the train passes a high speed corridor or not.....(Though frankly speaking i dont know if all of these are adhered to)....

aggressive means ?.............. i dont knw condtion but generally when i saw many train having WAP-7 ,they have more than 22 coaches or large number of AC coaches . is it true ?

aggresive here means..if the train is supposed to cover a distance in relatively small time or without any slack been provided...anywz..coach length may be one of the reasons..but even 17-18 coach rajdhanis get it....and that way TN,GT which are 24 coach dont get it...

kalka mail also getting wap7..frequent stops but hauling 24 coaches some time 25...what is the reason..this train having frequent stops...
but poorva hauling same coaches still no wap7..also having less stop
