i dont see ur point.. what do u mean by duronto offers less comfort?? coaches are same in duronto and rajdhani,infact durontos coaches are newer and cleaner, locomotive and tracks are same,,, food quantity and content of sdah duronto is same as that of hwh raj , better than sdah raj. service in both is done by irctc . because duronto leaves ndls at 20.05 , so obviously dinner served will be slightly late because soup has to be served first,noone is allowed to board midway in duronto, so there is lesser disturbance inside the coach also as people wont board in the middle of the night and more luggage security,,... so what do u mean by "more comfort in 12301"? the place where rajdhani scores over duronto is only and only punctuality(which is , of course, a very big factor)
Comfort is also because of the timings. comfort not only comes from coaches The timings of HWH rah/ BCT Raj has been designed in such a way that, you board the train in evening and get down in next morning, which makes makes the journey in such a way that next day is not wasted and we still feel fresh to work next day. BUT if u take the timing of BCT duronto particularly its leaves such an odd time at 11.15 in nite , where the sleep gets disturbed and of course whole day next day a passenger keeps on waiting that when train will reach schedule next day. Well atleast when i traveled in BCT duronto , i never enjoyed the journey as next day all passengers were waiting that when train will reach BCT. urself admit dinner is served late. Comfort cannot be just what trains are offering in terms of coaches, comfort of journey also comes from its timings and operational schedules. I m sure all these discussions would lead to no where, and passenger is the KING in Indian railways , So real prefernce for a particular train thru passengers choice would decide the result. If an open survey is done with all sample surveys, i can say without hesitation that 12951 is miles- miles ahead from its counterpart 22209. similarly 12301 would score over SDH duronto. yes durontos have edge over rajdhanis as passengers dont enter mid way. but that doesnt matter well in case of 12951 as most passenegers enter either in surat and BRC and after no body enters in kota in morning. Another point as you said FOOD quantity is less in SDH duronto, is again could be misnomer as ITS iRTCTC which provides food to all the premier trains , and when fare structure is same they cant be discriminate. Food will be and has to be same. may be once you have traveled and find difference in standard of food, but that could be stray incident.
i never said food quantity in sdah drnt is less.. it is same except that evening sncks are nt served. in sealdah rajdhani, it is less. in sdah raj, it is served by meals on wheels, nt irctc. they give one egg and one small chicken piece instead of 2 standard chicken pieces which r served in hwh raj,, no fishfry, no french fries with egg in breakfast, rice in sdah raj is served in the small containers instead of the larger ones which r used in hwh raj /sdah drnt
the arrival history shown in trainenquiry are all faulty. even with this faulty info, u can see the difference in punctuality. duronto is the only train to be late on all 3 days u searched,, hwh raj's avge late is negligible,, sdah raj was late only 1/4 days ,, and for ur information, duronto arrived at around 1.15pm on all these 3 days ,, i observed the same on simran.in.
