Last time I was travelling in 12259 Sealdah New Delhi Duranto, I use a point and shoot cam(SONY-HX10V). It was not even 30 seconds that I was doorplating that an IRCTC staff came and suggested rudely' who opened the door? Close it immediately', I was annoyed at his authoritative behavior and curtly replied It's me, and I am recording. Again he said 'I told you to close what's your problem?' I replied IO guess I know what I am doing and please excuse.' This time he softened down and rationally told me 'Sir, please refrain, you should be aware of the risks

Even roadside children seldom throw stones at trains which may strike you accidentally
At high speed train tilts and shakes so much that, there is no certainty that your grip would never slip , even the handles are felt lubricated due to exposure to moisture, so gripping is not perfect.
Your limbs start becoming fatigued when you cope with this motion for more than 10 minutes or so, , it may not respond to the exact reflex which otherwise it should have.
I thank him even today for showing the extra effort to convince me.
I have not stopped fanning, since I am almost addicted, but have become more cautious.So please remember following things while doorplating
- Dont just hold the handle, put your hand through it(like half way strangling) and then grip it
Be sure 75% of the body weight should be inside the door, with your feet solidly grounded, take extra support if possible.
Keep one hand always free, and try to operate the cam , (zoom track and other menus) with one hand.
Don't stand for more than 10 minutes at the same place allow movement or sit for a while.
Select a door which is free so that you can give undivided attention to the shooting.
