That name has been kept since its introduction. So changing it can't b done by the officials!! It had a unique AC coaches in the vintage period. later it was replaced by normal sleeper coaches n became a SF. but still its known as Super Deluxe Express.

for that case, even poorva should be renamed as poorva super deluxe coz even poorva used to run as super deluxe for long and later sleeper coaches added...
