Usually 3-4 hours prior to departure. For trains after 00.00 hrs and early morning, charting done on the previous night late.

Intermediate stations Charting done prior to arrival of train over there or at some other larger station nearby. Not simultaneously.

Sometimes happens-for 12864 there were instances of OGL quota ticket being charted 24 hrs before under same case

how is it possible?
I still remember one blogger's query regarding charting of ANVT-BGP GR where I got the answer from IRCTC helpdesk that for that train charting for PNBE happens at ANVT only..... but why? no idea.
