just wrote a letter to General Manger Central Railways regarding TDR Refund.
Dear Sir
I am IRCTC Auth E Ticket Agent and I had booked a confirmed Tatkal ticket 01436 AGC PUNE SF SPL Journey date 05/04 20120.
PNR no was 2133823343 TRANSACTION ID NO 0480855623.

more... was late by more than 8 hours on that day(Kindly check attached screen shots) and my customer not travelled in that train and asked me to cancel the ticket. Since the chart was prepared I had applied for TDR on 06 April stating the reason "Train was late by more than 3 hours"
On 9th july I got reply from irctc that "REGRET Dear Customer, With Reference to your PNR No:2133823343, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : DCR040612V14303/30.06.12/CR and the reason being : 20949-CR/OL12 No refund is granted for TATKAL CONFIRMED ticket.
I mailed them back and asked to check again and got reply on 16th july "Dear Customer,
Sorry for the inconvenience.Kindly note that the refund case of PNR No.2133823343 has been regretted by CR Railway on 16-Apr-2012.Now we have sent letter to CR Railway on 16-July-2012 stating that 'Train Late More Than Three Hours and Passenger Not Travelled.', so please reopen the case . As soon as refund, if any, received it will be credited to your card account.
Today again I got mail and it stating the same reason "Dear Customer,
With Reference to your PNR No:2133823343, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : DCR040612V14303 and the reason being : 'No refund is granted for TATKAL CONFIRMED ticket'
As per railway norms I should get 100% refund when train was late by more than 3 hours.
Request you to check the matter personally and help me to get my refund.
This working nature of railway people beyond the rules are ruining the image of E Ticket agent among the public and our customer thinks that we are making fool of them and we are not giving them refund.
If it remains same I beg pardon to say that this time I will sue irctc and concerned railway zone for refund in consumer court
