yes you are right today i tried to book a ticket on tsatkal at 955 aqm it showed as service unavabile after login and it went to plan my travel when press to book a ticket it went enter passener name it got logout and again second time it showed commutain problem i need t travel tommorow in a confrim tatkal ticket due to all things the ticket went to wating those who are travelling with me said not book ticket in wating so i need to try tommorow because of that i am asking to book confrim ticket on tatkal tomorrow

u can try for 3G but once u made payment, whethere it will go back or not only god knows, last week i tried to book a ticket at 10, surprisingly i reached payment site within 2 mins only (was using docomo 3G), but once i made payment it did't returned back to site , error came , after that i could not able login also upto 10:30, so its only luck nothing else

Your internet speed hardly matters when it comes to booking a tatkal ticket from irctc.
