How can you find your berth position in SL Class and 3rd AC Coaches(i.e., LB, MB,UB and etc..)?
By Using the Multiplication Table of 8.
8,16,24,32,40,48,56,64,72 and 81.
1. Take one no from the above serial, that should less than or Equal to your Berth no and that should be the least highest serial no of your Berth.
2....
more... Subtract the serial no from your berth no,
If your original Berth no or the Difference is
A. 1 or 4 then UR Seat is LB
B. 2 or 5 then UR Seat is MB
C. 3 or 6 then UR Seat is UB
D. 7 then UR Seat is SLB
E. 8 or 0 then UR Seat is SUB
Eg. if your Berth no is 37.
Least highest serial no is 32
the Difference is 5 (i.e., 37-32=5)
so your berth is MB
if your Berth no is 55
Least highest serial no is 48
the Difference is 7 (i.e., 55-48=7)
so your berth is SLB
if your Berth no is 64
Least highest serial no is 64
the Difference is 0 (i.e., 64-64=0)
so your berth is SUB
