Train Number: 12609 & 12607
.
Both super fast trains from Chennai Central to Bangalore city.
.
My advice to passengers travelling along with wife, kids, ladies or aged females never use this lazy...
more... train.
.
They never arrive on time to Bangalore City.
.
The arrival and departure history shown in the web site is full of blunder. Never rely on that information.
.
Monday July 15, 2013, train 12607 arrived at Bangalore city post 10:20 p.m. yet the arrival departure history shows train late by only 10 minutes.
.
The super fast defined by Indian Railways is 55 kms average speed. We pay extra for super fast trains as well yet the average speed is less than 55 kms.
.
There is no justification for super fast charges collected nor anyone makes noise about it.
.
By the time I got down from the train and reached the BMTC (Kempegowda Bus Stand) it was past 10:40 p.m.
.
All buses to J.P. Nagar 1st phase had departed and the last bus is at 11:45 p.m. and not sure if it will turn up.
.
Hence used an alternate route to reach home.
.
Took Jayanagar east end bus which departed at 11 p.m. and reached 11:30 p.m. to Jayanagar east end.
.
Took a walk and reached home around 12:15 a.m.
.
This is the secret of the super fast train service offered by Indian Railways which helps passengers reach home past mid night walking on empty streets.
.
.
SO MY ADVICE TO MY DEAR FRIENDS NEVER USE THESE LAZY TRAINS AND FALSE PROMISE OF ARRIVAL HISTORY TO BOARD THESE TRAINS ALONG WITH FEMALES OR OLD LADIES.
.
If you do, then you know you have to rely on the auto rickshaw which will burn your pocket very deep.
.
I was asked by auto rickshaw people as much as Rs. 300 to Rs. 250 to reach home as it was past 10 p.m.
.
Since I am living in this city for more than 4 decades, I knew that was not worth.
.
Was ready to pay Rs. 150 ie one and half times the meter as its under 10 kms from railway station to J.P. Nagar 1st phase.
.
So had to take BMTC who charged Rs. 17 only.
